We would like to take this opportunity to share our sincere appreciation to our patients. Our mission is to deliver incredible results by exceeding our patients' expectations while ensuring their safety and providing outstanding service. We provide a variety of cosmetic services including Botox, Juvederm, Voluma, Forever Young BBL IPL photofacial treatments, fractional laser resurfacing, Ultherapy, Cool Sculpting, leg vein treatments, skin tightening, toenail fungus treatments, and chemical peels as well as a variety of skin care products. Over the past two years we have provided special discounted pricing through third party online marketing companies such as Groupon and Living Social. The purpose for this type of marketing was to introduce new patients to our innovative quality services. While we were delighted to welcome hundreds of new patients to our office, the influx of patients led to difficulties in scheduling and telephone communication. In order to accommodate our loyal patients we will no longer be offering these types of specials. It is our pleasure to offer periodic promotional offers for your continued loyalty. Please click the link below for our current specials. We look forward to continuing our long-term relationships with our valued patients! Thank you.
Now all patients receive an ice pack to take home after any injectable treatment such as Botox, Juvederm, and Voluma, compliments of A E Skin. At A E Skin our mission is to deliver incredible results by exceeding our patients' expectations while ensuring their safety and providing outstanding service. In this light, we want to minimize the risk of any potential side effects after our treatments. Injectable procedures such as Botox, Juvederm, and Voluma have certain risks associated with them. Any time a needle is injected into the skin there is the risk for pain, bleeding, bruising, and swelling. Application of cold compresses minimizes these risks. We want our patients to be as comfortable as possible and we minimize pain during our treatments. With fillers such as Juvederm and Voluma we apply numbing cream for 15 minutes prior to the treatment and with our Botox treatments we apply cold air to the treatment area. Cold air numbs the area and serves as a distraction to decrease the pain. At the same time, it causes less blood to come to the area, minimizing the risks of bleeding, bruising, and swelling during the treatment. Application of cold compresses such as ice packs after the treatment will decrease the blood flow to the area, minimizing any possible bruising or swelling. At A E Skin we understand that our patients want effective treatments without down time so that they can resume their normal activities as soon as possible. For this reason, we have made the investment to provide free ice packs to our patients receiving Botox, Juvederm, or Voluma so they have the best experience. Since we are always trying to improve, we welcome all suggestions. Contact us with your feedback or to schedule a free consultation with Dr. Alex for Botox, Juvederm, or Voluma.
Why is hydroquinone banned in other countries? This is a common question we get from patients. It makes many people afraid of using products such as hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is the strongest brightening agent we have and is used in various brightening creams, bleaching creams, color correctors, and dark spot removng creams. It works well for various types of discoloration on the skin such as sun damage and melasma. Hydroquinone is found naturally in coffee, beans, and vegetables. So people eat it all the time. In the United States hydroquinone is available over the counter at 2 % strength. The most common prescription strength for hydroquinone in the US is 4 %. It is often compounded in higher strengths such as 6 % in the A E Skin Brightening Cream. The issue with hydroquinone in other countries is not hydroquinone itself. It is that it is often contaminated in mercury when prepared overseas. Mercury is toxic to the kidneys and nervous system and can cause problems with brain development in unborn children. In the US we have extremely high standards of production of compounded medications so that there are no levels of mercury contamination in our hydroquinone products. In order to make clean products here in the US it takes more time and effort, making the process more costly. This is not the case in other countries, which is why products made in other countries are often more affordable. Often times these products are sold online, which makes things very dangerous to most people that do not know about this. Therefore it is critical that patients use products with hydroquinone that are made by certified laboratories in the United States for safe use. In this way hydroquinone can be used safely and effectively to treat skin discolorations. At A E Skin, all of our skin care products are produced at certified laboratories in the United States, making them safe to use as directed, and we stand by all of our products. A E Skin held our third annual Evening of Glamour on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 6 PM in our office. This was an outstanding opportunity for our patients to learn about our new treatments and take advantage of exclusive specials. As usual we had light refreshments, photo opportunities on the Red Carpet, an exciting raffle with prizes including skin care products and treatments, and gift bags for all of our guests. This year we featured Voluma and Ultherapy, two new and exciting treatments that address age-related changes in the face. Voluma is a new dermal filler made by the same company that makes Botox which provides the youthful volume and structure to the upper cheek, providing an instant lift. People get instant results and enjoy their results for up to two years. Ultherapy uses ultrassound to provide focused and targeted energy to stimulate new, fresh, and healthy collagen in the deep laters of the skin. These are the same layers addressed with a surgical facelift, but without the incisions, anesthesia, and recovery time. Most people have a single treatment. Results are seen in three to six months and people enjoy their results for a few years. The combination of Voluma and Ultherapy provides an outstanding non-surgical facelift The highlight of the night was a live demonstration of Ultherapy on an actual patient. Everyone had a great time and we are excited to treat all of our patients. Our next event will be our Botox Bonanza on Tuesday April 28, 2015 and Thursday April 30, 2015. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
