Botox is a purified protein used to treat certain wrinkles on the skin. Botox will relax the muscles on the face and smoothen out the wrinkles in the skin. There are many areas where Botox is used, the most common are the horizontal lines on the forehead seen when you raise your eyebrows, the verical frown lines between the eyebrows, and the crow's feet around the eyes seen when you smile or squint.
What Affects the Price of a Botox Treatment?
The cost of a Botox treatment depends on how many units are used. There are many factors which effect the number of Botox units required. Larger muscles are stronger and more units are required to relax these muscles; generally men have stronger muscles than women on the face as well as the body and therefore require more units of Botox. Certain areas require more units than others. The common areas on the face each require anywhere from 10 to 40 units. An important factor that many people overlook affecting the cost of the Botox treatment is who performs the treatment, his/her experience, and how it is done.
