Did you know that although fillers come in syringes, not all needs to be used in the same area? Keep reading to learn more.
What are fillers?
Fillers are injectable products that are used for facial rejuvenation. They can also be used in other areas off the face. They work by restoring volume to lift areas and to fill in wrinkles and folds. The most common ones use a sugar called hyaluronic acid as the active ingredient. This is a perfect product because it’s naturally found in your skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm, Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella can be used to treat areas such as temples, cheeks, the nose, the under eye area, the lips, chin, jawline, and smile lines. Fillers generally last much longer than Botox: anywhere from six to 24 months depending on the product used and the number of syringes.
Although many syringes of a filler can be used in your face, more than three or four syringes of product can be out of your budget. Allergan, the makers of Juvederm, Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella, as well as Botox and Kybella, is currently offering a buy two syringes, get one free promotion. This has been a huge success. Many people start with two syringes of Voluma in their cheeks. This gives outstanding results. But by adding a third syringe, some of the product can be placed in other areas and it can be customized for each person. For example, if you have hollowing under the eyes, Voluma can be placed in your cheeks closer to your nose, this is called medially. On the other hand, if you have fullness under your eyes, but have volume loss in your outer cheeks, Voluma can be placed laterally, closer to your ears.
Using Voluma in the Face
We are also using Voluma strategically in other areas of the face for overall rejuvenation. For example, Voluma is great to fill in hollow temples. If your temples are very hollow, you’ll probably need a syringe of Voluma per side. But for mild temporal hollowing, only a fraction of a syringe can be used. This will leave more for other areas. Placing Voluma in your outer cheeks in the areas in front of your ears can have an enormous rejuvenating effect. It serves to pull your outer face back and smoothens out your nasolabial folds (smile lines) and jawline. Voluma can also be place along your jawline to give it more definition. Voluma can also be placed in your chin to balance your face, especially your profile. And a small amount of Voluma can be used in the marionette lines. These are the ones that go from the corners of your mouth to your jawline and give you a sad face appearance.
With the new promotion, we’re able to use fillers such as Voluma throughout your face for global rejuvenation with natural and long-lasting results.
